Sunday 23rd February was the Bicentenary of the Cato Street Conspiracy. To commemorate the event Westminster Archives’ Education Officer Peter Daniel commissioned musician Vince Burke to compose and record an original based on the last words of conspirator James Ings, “Give Me Death or Liberty.” The song forms part of a Heritage Fund project: The West End Job – The Bicentenary of the Cato Street Conspiracy. Images used on the film come from the collections of project partners. These are Westminster Archives (Ash bridge collection); The National Archives; The British Library.
