Lord Harrowby's House, 39, Grosvenor Square (Night time) VR

Rob Nutter of RH Viz worked with WCRAG volunteers to help us step back in time to when the Cato Street conspiracy took place in 1820.

Here you can see the house in Grosvenor Square as it might have appeared on the evening of the attempted assasination.

About the VR

Lord Harrowby’s House at 39 (44) Grosvenor Square was reproduced using V-Ray for Cinema 4D from period resources on the British History Online website:

https://www.british-history.ac.uk/survey-london/vol40/pt2/plate-44

Lord Harrowby’s house was the venue for the cabinet dinner, where the Cato Street Conspirators aimed to kill Lord Liverpool and his cabinet on the night of the 23rd February 1820. The night time version of the VR features the dining room as it would have looked if the conspirators had burst through its doors some time after 8pm on that wintry night two hundred years ago.

Texturing is created using Substance Designer. The project is designed with VR in mind and as such is UnReal engine ready.

Here is a short YouTube version of the work RH Viz have undertaken on Lord Harrowby’s Grosvenor Square home, plus some rendered images from the VR.
